As an Electrical and Electronics engineer with specialty in Communication as applied to satellites from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa, Manfred Quarshie has organized successfully two workshops on Space and Satellite Technology which brought stake holders on the need for Ghana to start something on Space technology.
He is the initiator, coordinator and the head of national CanSat awareness program in Ghana which will involve the use of CanSat as a learning and awareness tool in the universities, Polytechnics and the High Schools.
Hei is also the founder of “Ghana for CubeSat in 2016” team that will have the task of building less than 3kg CubeSat for Ghana by 2016 (Mission yet to be determined).
In terms of international affiliations, he is a member of IEEE and also a member of Ground Stations Network Group he also participated in CanSat Leadership training Program which was held at Nihon University in Chiba, Japan.
Currently, he is working for ALL NATIONS UNIVERSITY COLLEGE (ANUC) as well as Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as their Satellite engineering program developer which has a primary task of designing of the needed laboratories and a Ground Stations for their research work.
